Two persons, suspected to be school students were feared killed and several injured as a tipper, allegedly painted with the colours of the Nigeria Army rammed on them. It was gathered that the tragic incident occurred on March 4, this year at Ipollo village, in Yale, a sleepy community in Ogoja, Cross River State. According to our sources, the tipper marked AK 438 YU was entering the village at about 1455 hour, through Abakaliki road, where one Monday Iruman and Miracle Oguma were feared killed by the tipper while others were injured.
It was further gathered that the corpses of the two suspected students were deposited at Lutheran General Hospital morgue, while those injured were being treated as at the time of filling this report at the same hospital. The tipper, a source said was towed to Yala Police division, where it was packed while investigations in the incident was on-going.
