Prayer without Work Is Dead On Delivery for Our World in Distress (1) By Emmanuel Udom

world

Presently, our world, estimated at about 8.2 billion people and still counting, is going through economic distress. It is normal. It is expected, considering lots of factors, our lifestyles inclusive. Truth is that stress, challenges and poverty in developing and developed countries are in most cases self-created. It is okay to blame government at various levels. But, who is government? You and I. But, some gullible persons, do also blame the devil, general and foundational curses, enemies within and without for their self-created hell. It is part of the growing up. I am the devil, I am the god. This applies to the estimated 8.2billion people in world today and always.

Therefore, you are your self-created devil and self-created god. Heaven or hell do not exist physically up there. I am a bit harsh here. Truth is bitter. Sorry, truth is bitter. Therefore, those who blame the devils for their so-called problems are not getting it right. Ask yourself, instead of looking to real or imaginary enemies outside your mind, how you have contributed to the stage you now find yourself. This is the reason, some serious churches like the Catholic Church and others are always praying for our world in distress during mass. It is not limited to the Catholic Churches alone, most people, groups, groups corporate agencies, religious bodies, etc, are praying, meditating, and interceding for light, love and peace, in our world. All over our world, the economy is biting hard. It is not limited to the so-called poverty raged developing countries.

Even the so-called developed countries like America, the United Kingdom, France and other countries are not finding things funny. The economy is biting real hard and while some of us are still getting worked-up, praying for divine interventions, others are facing the odds, leaving their comfort zones and actually taking the bulls by their horns. As an investigative journalists, I am doing an undercover, informal jobs, trying to find out from people, what success means to them in a depress world economy, and how they could survive in these tumultuous times. So far, I have found out that an entrepreneur, who has identify, develop and commercialize his or her talent holds the key to world peace, unity and progress.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigerian president cannot give jobs to all the desperate jobs seekers out there, nor can his government fix all the roads, provide electricity 24/7, schools, hospitals, and alleviate poverty for the over 180 million Nigerians living below poverty lines in our country. So, Tinubu is expected to do his bits and leave the rest and God and the next leaders after 8 years. I am not the public relations man for Tinubu and his government. I trust Bola Onanuga, my former publisher andeditor-in-chief, who is today handing the media job for our president to do the right thing.
