If there is one person in Nigeria that feels the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led regime is a blessing to the country, that person is Emeka Nwosu, a fairly used clothes trader. He shuttles Lagos and Ogun state daily to scout for customers. Nwosu an indigene of Anambra state, last week Thursday on board a commercial bus insisted that Tinubu did the right thing with the appointment of Dave Umahi as works minister.

Umahi, he boasted had performed what he described as American wonder on Lagos Abeokuta expressway, as well as other major roads in our country. Our correspondent, who was on board the same bus noted that the views of the Okrika trader ignited mixed reactions. While some passengers lambasted him for his comments, a few others commended him. However, our correspondent observed that from Oshodi bus-stop, where the bus took off, rehabilitation on the 81km has been encouraging. From Bolade, Ladipo, PWd, Shogunle, Ikeja,Ile epo, Abule Egba, the expressway is smooth. Part of U_turn at Abule Egba is not well rehabilitated, as there seems to dust at this flash point.

But, beyond these points and busstops, Moshasi, adura, etc are also a smooth ride, it was further observed. Sunday Afolabi, a self acclaimed engineer told our correspondent that indeed federal roads are being improved and rehabilitated in recent times. He however pleaded with states and local governments to also fixed their raids.

Beyond the comment of the engineer, it was observed that hell for riders and users of the expressway showed that from toll gate inward Ogun state from Lagos, there are dusty points.  Some of these points are: toll gate, joju, veepee area, omiyale, ayede, pakoto, forlam, bungalow. But, U_turn, near the Ifo branch of Mountain of Fire and Miracles, seems to be the dusty along the expressway. Mama Ibeji, who sells local herbal concoctions at vesper busstop in Ifo unknowingly told our correspondent that most people who use the expressway daily either wear glasses, use facemasks or cover their faces and eyes with handkerchief. But, all hope is not lost on the Ogun state axis of the expressway, as bulldozers and catapillars were spoofed by out correspondent, who travel from Ewekoro to Sango Ota in Ogun state on surveillance mission. Despite the rains. rehabilitation workers poisoned themselves at these various points working  Pastor George Odunoye, founder of St George Foundation Schools Ifo Ogun state says that the government is on course working, despite the many challenges facing our beloved country. Dave Umahi is indeed doing a great job.
