The Abeokuta diocese of the Catholic Church in Ogun State, is set to hold a one_day training for all parish correspondents In the over 69 parishes in the state. Politico Gazette gathered that the training is planned to hold on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the SS Peter & Paul Catholic hall, located at Itesi along Adetan Road in Abeokuta, Ogun state, beginning from 10 am to 2.30pm. it was further gathered that the one_day event is holding ahead of the world communication day, which will take place from May 25 to June 1, 2025 at the same venue.
Fr Gregory Fadele, the social communication director for the diocese in a statement sighted by Politico Gazette stated that all parish correspondents are expected to arrive the venue of the training on or before 9.30 am for registration. He however disclosed that no proxy arrangements will be allowed as refreshments, stationery, certificate of participation, and a token as transport fares will be given to each correspondent drawn from all the parishes of the Catholic church in Ogun State. Rev Fr Anthony Otegbola the parish priest of St Mary Catholic Church, Alaja, Ifo, Ogun state, confirmed the training and passed on the details to our correspondent ahead of the d_day.
